FAQ

What do I need to believe?
At FCC, we are figuring that out together. We have no statement of faith that requires you to confess. We center our spiritual lives around the life and teachings of Jesus.

What are your worship services like?
In general, you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes we have guitars, sometimes organs and piano. Our services always include singing, reading of Scripture, praying, and at the heart of service is the celebration of Communion.

Do you have childcare?
Yes!  For most of the year, childcare is available for children aged 7 and under during the 10:00 am service.

Is someone going to make me stand up and introduce myself?
Nope (unless you WANT us to).  Individuals will greet you and get to know you, but we won’t require you to stand up and introduce yourself to the whole group.

Can I receive communion?
Yes! All are welcome to receive communion—the table belongs to Christ, not to us.

Do I need to dress up?
Come to FCC for worship as you are.  You'll find some people in jeans and shorts and others in their “Sunday best”—people truly come as they are!

What does "All Means All" mean?
“All Means All” is a catchphrase you’ll hear in many Disciples churches. In short, it means that all are welcome, no matter what. Gay? Straight? Man? Woman? Transgender? Bisexual? Child? Old? Youth? Questioning? Believer? Seeking? All Means All—you are welcome and affirmed here.

Where are you located?
at 295 E. Washington backing up to the cemetery and Chico Junior High

Is the facility wheelchair accessible?
The majority of rooms are wheelchair accessible with door widths either at 32" inches or larger. Some storage rooms, some bathrooms, the basement, the baptistry, and upper room are not wheelchair accessible. The only bathrooms that are wheelchair accessible are the ones in Koinoina Hall. The sanctuary has pews with spaces for wheelchairs.
