November 15 is our Annual Congregational Meeting and Stewardship Sunday

On Sunday morning, November 15, we will be voting for next year’s church leaders during the worship service. This is also the day when pledge cards are due.
📬 Stewardship letters—including your pledge card—will be mailed out before the end of September. If you prefer to view them online, both the letter and the pledge card are available at the link at the bottom of this page.
🧾 Pledge cards and envelopes are placed in the pew racks in the Sanctuary for your convenience.
You may return your pledge card in any of the following ways:

Dear Friends,
One of the biggest joys in my 34 years of ministry has been watching our congregation respond so generously to our Imagine More Capital Campaign. Talk about a congregation that steps up to the plate! Our church was featured in an article published in the latest issue of Disciples New Service. You can see the article on their website https://disciples.org/dns/ or use this direct link.
When we started the campaign, we set an ambitious goal of $250,000 over three years to help care for and improve the building and grounds that make so much of our ministry possible. Already, we have raised $97,776 as of this writing. With that money, we’ve been able to see the results of our good stewardship. Painting has been completed, HVAC units have been replaced, and other improvements are underway. More importantly, people have responded faithfully and generously to the vision behind the campaign, and for that I give you my heartfelt thanks!
From the beginning, we’ve emphasized that gifts to the Capital Campaign are intended to be above and beyond our regular giving to the church. That’s important because the Capital Campaign takes care of extraordinary needs, while our regular giving makes the everyday ministry of First Christian Church possible. Our regular offerings support worship and music, Christian education, pastoral ministry, outreach, utilities, staffing, building operations, and all those ordinary expenses that aren’t particularly exciting—but make extraordinary ministry possible.
As we move into the Fall, you’ll soon receive your regular pledge card for 2027. This year, we’re not planning a major stewardship campaign or a big “push” like we normally do. After the generosity you have already shown, that didn’t seem necessary or appropriate. We simply don’t want this ordinary but important part of our church life to get lost in the excitement of Imagine More.
So, as you consider your pledge for 2027, please continue supporting the regular ministry of First Christian Church as faithfully as you are able. Pledge cards are due November 15, and your pledge helps our Board plan responsibly for the year ahead.
Most of all, thank you for your generosity, your trust, and the many ways you support the ministry we share. Whether through the Capital Campaign, regular giving, volunteering, praying, showing up, or caring for one another, you continue to demonstrate something we’ve said throughout Imagine More: The church isn’t just a building. The church is the people.
