November 17th is our Annual Congregational Meeting and Stewardship Sunday

Here’s a revised version tailored for an elderly audience—warm, clear, and gently paced for ease of reading and understanding:

🗳️ Church Leadership Vote & Stewardship Reminder

On Sunday morning, November 16th, we will be voting for next year’s church leaders during the worship service. This is also the day when pledge cards are due.

📬 Stewardship letters—including your pledge card—are being mailed out this week. If you prefer to view them online, both the letter and the pledge card are available at the link at the bottom of this page.

🧾 Pledge cards and envelopes are placed in the pew racks in the Sanctuary for your convenience.

You may return your pledge card in any of the following ways:

  • By mail

  • By placing it in the offering plate on Sunday mornings

  • By dropping it through the church mail slot anytime before November 16th, 2025

Your faithful support helps guide our church’s future. Thank you for your continued generosity and care.

Dear Friends,

Throughout our faith journey, we receive many invitations—from confessing our faith, to caring for those in need, to bringing a dish to the next church potluck. Life in a community of faith is full of such moments.

Over the next several weeks, we will be intentional about how we respond to these invitations and how they shape our faith. Jesus calls us to bring all that we are and all that we have as disciples, allowing the disciplines of study, worship, prayer, service, and generosity to form us into Christ’s image and strengthen us as agents of God’s good work in the world.

When we choose what to bring before Christ, we bless creation with health and wholeness—what God desires for all. The world is broken, and we are called to be a movement for wholeness. Our faithful financial stewardship is one way we respond, funding the mission and ministry that reveal God’s Realm among us.

On October 5th, we will begin an intentional reflection, Faithful, Hopeful, Loving, as preparation for determining our investment in the ministry of First Christian Church. This journey will culminate on November 16th, during our Annual Business Meeting and Commitment Sunday. I invite you not only to bring your Estimate of Giving card, but also to join in the celebration of all God is doing through us.

Your prayers and participation are essential as we advance together on the pathway of discipleship. Like the early church, may we gather with “glad and generous hearts,” so that no one among us is in need (Acts 2). I look forward to discerning with you what it means to be Faithful, Hopeful, and Loving in this place.

Grace and Peace,

Jesse Kearns, Pastor

Max Erwin, Moderator

Nancy Thompson, Treasurer
