Christmas Season 2017 at FCC Chico
Welcome to First Christian Church of Chico – we are glad you made it to this page. Christmas is a joyous time for many, but it is also a time that can bring about big life questions.
“Where will I go from here?”
“How do I celebrate Christmas now that life is different than it was?”
“Does the joy of Christmas still matter to me?”
For some, the Christmas season can bring about even feelings of sadness or nostalgia as we think about others who are not with us anymore.
At First Christian Church of Chico, we don’t necessarily have all the answers – but we do believe that the questions are important! And we know that we can find the answers together.
We would love to host you (and your questions!) during this holiday season. You can find us on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m.
We bet you have some questions about what our worship service is like. Let us tell you a little bit right now. Our services are fairly casual – some people wear Sunday best but lots of people wear jeans, too. Visitors will not be asked to stand up or give a speech, and we do not preach hellfire or damnation here. Instead, you will find a community of warmth and loving presence that is ready to share the joy of the Creator with the world.
At First Christian Church, our motto is “no law but love.”
You can find out more about us here, here, and here.
We're located at 295 E. Washington Ave. Chico CA 95926
December 24th-Fourth Sunday in Advent: Love, 11:00 a.m. Combined Service, Sanctuary, Rev. Katy Valentine preaching.
